Schools and Colleges

University of Georgia has several. These include the College of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Social Work, the School of Public and International Affairs, College of Public Health, pharmacy, School of Law and Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

There is also the Daniel B. Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Environment & Design, Education and Eugene P. Odum School of Ecology. Students may also enroll in Terry College of Business, the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Courses

There are hundreds of courses that you can take. These include accounting, adult education, agriculture, animal health, anthropology, economics and art. Students can also study biochemical engineering, bioinformatics, biological engineering, biology, chemistry and consumer journalism.

Other courses that you can take up are early childhood education, entomology, epidemiology and exercise science. Other popular courses are health and physical education, history, horticulture, international business, interdisciplinary studies, special education and sociology. There are also courses on classical culture, women’s studies, religion and psychology. Students can also take up programs on political science, plant pathology, philosophy and music.

Continuing Education Courses

There are several courses available. Among them are treatment of children and adolescents with sexual behavior problems, digital film school, intermediate golf mock trial camp and many others. There are many other courses for those who want to continue their education.

Tuition

The following cost estimate is for 9-month academic year for a typical undergraduate student. For Georgia residents the tuition fee is $9,472. For out of state residents it is $27,682. The standard residence halls cost $4,916 and $4,916 for Georgia residents and non-residents respectively. There are other expenses bringing the total cost to $20,820 for residents and $39,030 for non residents.

Admission

There are different application processes for first-year students, transferees, former UGA undergraduate students and re-activation. There are printable forms for applying online. These include supplemental application, certificate of finances, international forms, teacher recommendation, school/counselor evaluation, applications and other forms.
