Overview
Aside from getting credits, these programs also offer certificate programs, associate’s and master’s degrees. The focus will of course be on statistics. Most of these state universities allow those who don’t live in the state to take the course. These programs have different requirements; you should evaluate them first. Some of them will require in-person admission tests.
Features

Social Science topics may include longitudinal data, sample size, survey design and analysis.
There are also programs where you have to use statistical software. These applications assist students in interpreting data. Most of the data is available on the web. But there are sites which offer their lectures on DVDs and CDs. These lectures are the same ones used in campus.

There are also topics about financial risk, risk simulation and queuing, time series analysis missing data, correlations and many others. You can also take up statistics research, general statistics and calculus based subjects. Some programs require knowledge of advanced mathematics. Elementary applied statistics is also offered in most courses.
The length of online statistics courses for college credit varies. Master’s programs are much longer than certificate programs. They are more detailed however. Some M. S. degrees take two to three years to finish. If you study part time, it will take about five years.
