Theology Degrees Online

There are four general options for you when it comes to choosing which Theology degree to get: Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate.

An Associate Degree in Theology usually takes two years to complete and includes thirteen courses at the very least. 3-credit courses are generally offered for an Associate in Theology degree and these cover the following topics:

– Communion with God

– Being in control of your health with the help of God’s teachings

– Attaining financial freedom through Scripture

For a Bachelor of Theology degree, courses that you need to complete in order to earn your degree are about 31 core subjects plus about 9 Electives.

Core subjects cover the following areas: the Bible, tackling each book and addressing modern-day issues; Spiritual Life; plus Life and Leadership Skills.

Master’s and Doctorate Degrees

Once you have completed your Bachelor of Theology degree, you can move on to a Master of Theology degree which will generally require you to complete an additional 40 credits on top of your Bachelor’s courses.

You will also need to complete a thesis for the Master’s level and undertake practical or field assignments.

Lastly, for the Doctorate of Theology degree, after your have earned your Master’s degree in Theology; you will need to provide an original dissertation and complete an internship as assigned by your online school for Theology.

For the Master’s and Doctorate degrees, requirements may vary from one school to the next. It is best to discuss your options with your online school to see whether or not you can pursue these degrees directly from them or if you need to pursue your studies from their affiliate school.
